Once upon a time, there was an egg floating in a wicker basket out upon the sea. From this egg was born a fairy creature with sharpened teeth and skin like the white of the egg from which it was born. This creature's first words were Songbird, after the creature which took flight above its head. From then on, this became the creature's name.
